July 30 is Umeboshi Day in Japan. The date comes from a Japanese wordplay meaning that eating umeboshi makes hardships or misfortune “go away.”

7月30日は「梅干の日」。梅干しを食べると「難が去る」といわれることから、「難（7）が去る（30）」の語呂合わせで定められています。
